This is what I'm working on today. Orange, red and yellow have become one of my favorite color combinations. (In Pantone speak this would be Fiesta and Buttercup.)
I'm putting lots of love into this necklace. A few of my handmade paper and clay jewels, a little bit of wood and glass on strands of hemp. Little bits and pieces I've stashed over the past year.
Check back in a few days to see the finished piece.
Statement earrings are in and these are big, bold, eye catching and incredibly light because they are made of paper! Just posted six unique, one-of-a-kind pairs to my Etsy Shop. These are all black on white with an occasional splash of red. Hope you'll take a look in my shop and share it with your friends. The Tennessee River Fine Arts League, of which I am a member, provides the art work that lines the halls of the historic Lee School Academy For The Arts in Paris, Tennessee. Occasionally, the school will have a different display, but for the most part the art is created by members of TRFAL. The exhibit changes quarterly. The current display will be up until mid March. Hope you will stop by and enjoy the art!
In addition to carrying fine furniture, appliances and home decor, Merison's Furniture, located at 202 Memorial Drive in Paris, Tennessee, also carries paintings, prints, fiber arts, and pottery by a select few local artists. I am very happy and proud to be among those select few.
Although Paris/Henry County has a thriving arts and crafts community, there are very few places for artists to display their wares - which makes Merison's all the more special. This is something they do just to help the local art community. So the next time you're looking for unique original art or crafts that are locally made give Merison's a try.
I usually rotate my art there every three months. This is what I have on display now.
